Our Sugarosophy
Every self-respecting confectionary brand must have its own sugar philosophy (a sugarosophy, if you will).
At “Pergalė”, we do not demonize sugar. In fact, we think that sugar-free sweets are errors in logic. But we get what all the fuss is about – some sugar is a yes yes, but too much sugar is a no no.
Don’t Wear Your PJs to Work
That’s why we advise thinking of sugar as one would think of pyjamas. It’s so cosy and sweet to wear them at home. But you shouldn’t wear them to work (or anywhere else outside home): it might do some damage to your reputation...
Well, the same thing applies to sugar. Chocolate and other sweets constitute sugar’s natural home. The world of confections is where sugar truly belongs.
Just like your pyjamas, however, sugar shouldn’t go anywhere outside home territory. So, don’t waste your sugar on sodas, ketchup, yoghurt, and flavoured coffees. Get your daily sugar intake from confectionery products – ideally from “Pergalė”.
How to Become a True Sugarosopher?
To lead a healthy lifestyle, you should get no more than 5-10 % of calories from added sugars.1 That seems reasonable, right? People, however, are waking up to the fact that food manufacturers are putting insane amounts of sugar where it doesn’t even belong.2
A bottle of vitamin water may sound like a healthy option, but it has more sugar than an average candy bar. Go figure! The same goes for most sauces, sodas, premade soups, breakfast cereals and so many other products.
So, your sugar intake might really add up without you ever knowing it.
To become a true sugarosopher, you should raise your awareness. Check the products for sugar levels, and keep them under control. But keep on enjoying life and get your sweet happiness from “Pergalė” legendary sweets. Because what’s sweet is supposed to be sweet.
And remember, don’t ever wear your PJs to work.
